John Payne

Rev. John Yocum Payne 82, of Borger, passed away on Tuesday Nov. 21, 2006 in Borger, Texas.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at World Harvest Church with Pastor Lance Keeling officiating. Interment will be in The Field of Honor at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Payne was born on June 8, 1924 in El Dorado, Arkansas. He came to Borger in 1979, moving from Kansas. He worked for Morton Lumber for 20 years and also a lumber yard in Kansas. John also worked 21 years at an oil refinery in El Dorado, Ark. John was an elder and minister of World Harvest Church in Borger. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Leslie Riddle.BRBRSurvivors include his wife, Louise Payne of El Dorado, Arkansas, four sons - Kevin Payne of Hot Springs, Arkansas., Brian Payne and wife, Pat and Kelly Payne and wife, Jean all of Baton Rouge, LA., Mike Payne and wife, Tammy of Great Bend, Kansas, daughter - Laurie Gerald of California, step-son - Gary Armer of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, two step-daughters - Judy Coke of El Dorado, Arkansas, Kay Reed of Rison, Arkansas, eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.BRBRCasket bearers will be Jerry Contreas, Angel Rodriguez, Robert Turner, Andy Veliz, John WhitmanBRBRMemorials may be made to World Harvest Church, 1055 Coronado Circle, Borger, Texas 79007
