John Melton Tollison, 49, died Friday, November 2, 2007 in Borger, Texas.BRBRServices will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Joe Wheeler officiating. Interment will be in Dumas Cemetery in Dumas, Texas under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.BRBRMr. Tollison was born on April 30, 1959 in McAlester, OK. He was raised in Oklahoma and had resided in the Texas Panhandle for 27 years. He was a roughneck in the oilfields and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He owned his own J.R. Casing Crew and worked for I.B.P. for a while. He was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Tollison in 1991.BRBRHe sis survived by his wife Carol of the home, three sons - Steven Watson of Plainview, Larry Don Williamson of Fritch, Greg Williamson of Canyon, two daughters - Sharissa Tollison of Fritch, Jennifer Villnave of the home, nine brothers - Donnie Tollison of Corpus Christi, Jerry Tollison Kenny Tollison both of Bakersfield, CA., Richard Tollison of Sprague, OK, David Tollison, Ray Tollison, Robert Tollison of Broken Bow, OK., Calvin Tollison of Oklahoma City, OK, Roy tollison of Lubbock, two sisters - Janet Spurrier of Mustang, OK., Jeannie Patti of Bakersfield, CA., five grandchildren.BRBRCasket bearers will be Michael Tollison, John tollison, Nick Trussell and Larry Spurlin.BR
