John William Waldrep, Jr was born December 24, 1960 and left this earthly home on October 11, 2016 at the young age of 55. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at the 1st Southern Baptist Church in Fritch. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
He was born in Borger, TX to J W (Dub) and Nancy Waldrep on Christmas Eve. John loved nature and being outdoors along with golfing, hunting and fishing, but his favorite hobby was his son Will. He enjoyed watching Will in all his sports activities and supporting him. John coached Will in football, baseball, and basketball, as well as teaching him golf and having him as his golf buddy. John was loved by all the boys he coached as well as Will's best and closest friends. He took them under his wing and enjoyed being a father figure to all of them.
Survivors include his son, Will Waldrep of the home; son Todd Davenport from Levelland, mother Nancy Waldrep of Borger; sisters, NanEtt Collins and husband Richard from Fritch; Debbie Brittain and husband Derk from Sweetwater TX; Deana Hubbard and husband Kenny from TexRoy Camp; grandson Aiden and daughter in love Sierra Moyer of Borger; great friend and loving mother of his son Will, Ronda Brownlee and numerous nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his father, Dub Waldrep and nephew Robert Collins.
Pall Bearers will be Anthony McWilliams, Joey Jones, Kevin Brinkley, Danny Brown, Raymond Guest, and Rigo Armendariz.
