Johnny Harvey

Johnny B. Harvey, 70, died June 22, 2013 at his home in Fritch. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Hansford Cemetery. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Borger, Texas at Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tom Stribling of 1st United Methodist Church of Happy officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

John was born June 22, 1943 in Sayre, Oklahoma to J. D. and Mary Jane Gossett Harvey. He married Lyndall Marie Fleenor on December 21, 1966 in Sunray, TX. They have lived in Fritch since 1974. John was selfemployed as a Certified Public Accountant for many years and owned and operated Larrys Marine in Fritch for 20 years. John and Lyndall spent the last 18 summers in Eagle Nest, NM and owned the Eye of the Eagle Gift and Jewelry shop in Eagle Nest. He proudly served in the U. S. Army as a Specialist 4 in Vietnam.

John was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years Lyndall Marie. His children: Robert Wade Harvey and wife Rena of Fritch and JonAnn Marie Welch and husband Jackie of Inez, Texas. Siblings: Sam Harvey of Fritch, Terri Harvey and Paula Snyder both of Dumas. Seven grandchildren: Jonna Standley, Brit Petitt, Chelsi Welch, Trey Welch, Daniel Segedy, Christian Segedy and Bailey Berinti. He was also blessed with 4 great grand children.
