Johnny Mack served in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 until 1972. He was a Staff Sgt. when he was honorably discharged. Johnny Mack was an illustrator for the Marines during part of his service and served a tour of duty in Vietnam. Upon returning home he established his own sign painting business and painted a little bit of everything in and around Fritch and Hutchinson County.
