Jones Hedrick

Jones Earl Hedrick, 74, of Panhandle died September 25, 2012 in Amarillo.

Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Panhandle officiated by Rev. Buddy Payne. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Jones was born March 4, 1938 to Walter Hedrick and Gladys Jones Hedrick. He graduated from Panhandle High School in 1957. He graduated from West Texas College in 1962 and completed a Masters degree from Northwestern Oklahoma University. Jones coached at Stinnett, Dimmitt, Panhandle, Canadian, Borger, Bushland and Happy. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church.

Jones was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Donald Ray Hedrick, and a sister, Linda Rowdon Boyette.

Jones is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carolyn sons, Harley Hedrick and wife, Shelly of Panhandle, and J.J. Hedrick and wife Stacy of Bushland a brother, Steve Hedrick and wife Sandra of Hooker, Oklahoma and grandchildren, Riley, Hannah, Hayden, Harper, Jensen, Hunter, and Cole.

The family asked that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Helping Hands Ministries at First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 549, Panhandle, TX 79068 or your favorite charity
