Joseph Minton

Joseph Austin "Joe" Minton, 67, died December 24, 2016 at his home in Borger. His Celebration of Life Service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Minton Memorial Chapel.

Joe was born February 2, 1949 in Ft. Worth and was sent to the waiting arms and hearts of his new parents A. M. and Cleo (Wilcox) Minton. He graduated Borger High School in 1967 and went to Floral Design School in Denver. Joe was a true artist with flowers, he could also fix almost anything from carpentry to electronics. He also worked his final years at Pak A Sak as a maintenance man. He truly had a heart of gold. Joe loved animals especially his five rescue dogs that he and Dianna cared for.

Joe is survived by his wife Dianna, two sons; Joe L. Minton and wife Kellie of Borger and James Minton and wife Joan of Dripping Springs, Texas, three daughters; Jessica Russell of Leesburg, Virginia, Regina Hayes and husband Jack of Borger and Cynthia Venzor and husband Henry of Borger, eight grandchildren; Kyle Russell, Corey Russell, Kelsey Russell, Leah Minton, Anna Minton, Stevan Hayes, Heather Hayes, Austin Ritchie, Jaden Venzor and Seth Venzor, two brothers Jake Minton and wife Lea of Amarillo and Jim Minton and wife Pat of Borger and one sister Judy Rankin of Borger and his beloved friend Redd, Judy's husband that he has joined in heaven.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00.
