Joy Elmore

Joy Elmore, 93, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Friday, December 31, 2021 in the Minton Memorial Chapel.  Burial will follow in Tecumseh Cemetery in Oklahoma.  Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to St. Andrew United Methodist Church 100 Amaryllis, Borger, Texas, 79007.

Joy was born December 3, 1928 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Marvin Lee Park and Julia Ann Williams Park.  She married Jack Ferris Elmore on September 4, 1965 in Tucumcari, New Mexico.  Joy worked as a supervisor for Southwestern Bell/AT&T for over 33 years.  She was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church.  Joy had a passion for golf and spent as much time as she could on the course.  She also enjoyed working with computers, sewing and crocheting.  Joy had a love of art especially oils and pencil sketching.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother.

Survivors include her step-children, Mary Kathryn Garrett, Patricia Ann Senger, Jacqueline Wassom; grandchildren, Melonie Kay Perry, Robert Lance Garrett, Jason Russell, Angela Mae Allenbaugh, Bethany Ann Lott, Cory Wayne Wassom; great grandchildren, Houston Kay Gonzales, Hannah Nicole Garrett, Harleigh Anson, Abram Wayne Lott, Madeline Lott, Alexia Corrina Russell, Emily Nicole Russell, DeLaney Elizabeth Russell, Kensie Allenbaugh, Austin Allenbaugh; great-great grandchild, Laney Gonzales; and beloved friends, Pamela Shaw and husband Mike, Mary Cox and husband Tom.
