Joy Mckey

Joy Gunter McKey, 73, died Friday, February 25, 2011 in Borger.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Kurtis Spidel of Faith Baptist Church in Amarillo officiating. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. McKey was born on November 20, 1937 in Borger and had been a lifetime resident of Borger. She was a lab technician and worked for several doctors in Borger for 42 years. She married G. E. Mac McKey march 12, 1965 in Borger, and he preceded her in death in 2009. She was also preceded in death by her brother Roy Gunter in 2000, mother Lenora Gunter in 1993 and father Willard Gunter in 1981.

The joy of her life was her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She was very active in her childrens activities and enjoyed crafts and photography.

She is survived by two sons Mike McKey of Dallas, Charles McKey and wife Angela of Lake Dallas, TX, daughter Pam Leimer and husband Verone of Amarillo, two grandchildren Kara Leimer and Cade Leimer both of Amarillo.
