P Joyce Lavene Conner, 76, died Wednesday, January 21, 2009 in Amarillo, Texas.BRBRServices will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Johnny Robertson, pastor officiating. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Fairlawn Cemetery in Elk City, Oklahoma under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.BRBRJoyce was born on June 9, 1932 in Carter, Oklahoma. She married Don Conner on January 19, 1952 in Borger. She was a teacher for the Borger ISD, diagnostician, middle school counselor, loved traveling, collecting miniature glass shoes from all over the world, playing canasta with friends and family and was the best hot chocolate and macaroni and cheese maker ever.BRBRSurvivors include her husband Don Conner of the home, son - Ben Conner and wife Anabeth of Borger, two sisters - Bernice Certain of Elk City, OK, Phyllis Reagan and husband Jim of Round Rock, TX, six grandchildren - Christina Jason McPherson, Benjamin, Charlie, Will, Jonathan and Jacob, and her niece Gem-Ann Reagan.BRP
