Joyce Jean Luman, 91, went to be with her Savior April 1, 2024 at her home. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Westlawn Memorial Park with J. W. Luman officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Joyce was born December 3, 1932 in Borger to Loyd Humphreys and Lottie Barnard Humphreys. She was a lifetime resident of Borger and graduated from Borger High School in 1950. She married Gordon Dell "Dutch" Luman June 14, 1951 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Borger. Joyce managed the Borger Housing Authority for 20 years before retiring and also was co-owner of Dutch E Enterprises. She had a lifelong love affair with Dutch but she also loved Gene Autry since she was a little girl. She loved and doted on her family and loved to go to their cabin in Eagle Nest, NM that she and Dutch built from the ground up. She helped her husband in all his endeavors by keeping his books, helping him brand cattle and running Antelope Creek Motocross.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her grandson Jeremy McClellan, her granddaughter Audra Luman, her brother in law Calvin Luman, son in law Odis McClellan, her brother Clyde Smith and her sister Nita Jennings,
Joyce is survived by her son Gary "Buzz" Luman and his wife Lily of Albuquerque, NM, her three daughters Jo Lea "Jodi" McClellan of Borger, Terri Lynn Caldwell and her husband Terry of Borger and Lori Jean Stine and her husband Scott of McKinney, TX, her seven grandchildren Jamey McClellan and his wife Jami, Andrew McClellan and his wife Prissi, Cristen Luman, Candice Caldwell, Tyrel Caldwell, Hunter Stine and Hadyn Stine, her nine great-grandchildren Lexi, Mattie, Emme, Connor, Austin, Brooklyn, Sayre, Jeremy and Teryn and her special grandhelper Jerry Price.
