Judith Whitson

Judith Ann Creacy Whitson, 74, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015.

Funeral service will be held 10:30 am Friday, October 2, 2015 at Fairlanes Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Burwash, officiating. Burial will follow in Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive guests from 6-8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Judith was born July 10, 1941 in Cloudy, Oklahoma to Benton (Reynolds) and Milburn Leroy Creacy. She married Dalford Whitson on June 29, 1979. Judith graduated from Phillips High School in 1959 and also Frank Phillips College. She retired from Phillips Petroleum Company in November of 2000. Judith was a member of Fairlanes Baptist Church, Eastern Star #811, Jane Phillips Society of Borger, Progressive Bowling League and Chatterettes Bowling League at Wildcatters in Borger. She was an amazing wife, stepmom and grandma. Judith enjoyed camping and providing her grandchildren with lots of love and chocolate. She had a wonderful sense of humor and often said that putting up with Dalford for 36 years was one of her greatest accomplishments.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Linnie Lee Creacy; nephews, Roy Don Creacy, John Add Creacy; nieces, Robin Creacy and Cindy Creacy; and sisters-in-law, Carol Creacy and Mary Lois Creacy.

Survivors include her husband, Dalford of the home; daughter, Ronna Whitson Hopson and husband Frank of Borger; grandsons, Ryan James Hopson and wife Ashley, Caleb Shawn Hopson and wife Baleigh; brothers, Clarence Aaron Creacy of Buchanan Dam, Texas, Donald Roy Creacy and wife Shirley of Fritch, Lank Wesley Creacy and wife Eva of Lipan; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of extended family; four great granddogs; and one great grandcat.

The family will be gathering at 301 San Juan Way, Borger, Texas 79007.
