Julia Ann Kasch

Julia Ann Kasch, age 91, of Borger Texas passed on Sunday, April 13, 2025.

The family will receive guests from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in Lockhart Park Cemetery, Lockhart, Texas.

Julia was born on September 30, 1933, to Jasper and Vida Johnson in Shreveport Louisiana. Her fathers job required that they move a lot and Julia lived in Shreveport, San Marcos Texas, and Jacksonville Texas. She attended Southwestern University in Memphis Tennessee and graduated from the University of Alabama. She returned to San Marcos, married Milton Kasch and the two of them began their career in education in 1956. Their jobs took them to Odessa Texas, Cuero Texas and finally in 1966 to Borger Texas where she remained for the rest of her life. During her 40 plus year career at Frank Phillips College Julia taught History, Government, Psychology, and Sociology. After retirement Julia enjoyed traveling, being a grandmother and serving her community. She was active in the Rotary Club, Altrusa, and the Museum board just to name a few. She was also named Borger's Citizen of the year in 2013. There was not a more humble person than Julia. The numbers are countless as to people she helped either financially or just being there to listen or give advice. Julia was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Kasch; parents. Jasper and Vida Johnson; and brothers, Larry and Randall Lee Johnson.

She is survived by Bob and Patty Kasch of Borger, Steve and Chrystal Kasch of Edmond Oklahoma. Grandchildren Katey Martinez and husband Bobby of Elida New Mexico. Kirsti Lynch and husband Jeb of Borger. Collin Kasch of Oklahoma City and Courtney Kasch of West Fork Arkansas. She is also survived by two great grandchildren. Kasch Martinez and Julia Lynch.
