Junior Fernandez

Junior  Fernandez, 46, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Riverview Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Kelley officiating.  Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  The Holy Rosary will be recited at 5 pm on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the funeral home.   The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, February 9, 2021.

Junior was born February 8, 1974 in Chicago, Illinois to Jose Maria Fernandez and Maria Isabel Villanueva Fernandez.  He married the love of his life, Stacie Hayes, on January 27, 1994 in Borger.  Junior enjoyed cooking, camping, four wheeling, fishing, really anything outdoors.  He worked hard, lived life to the fullest and would help anyone that needed it.  Junior was co-owner of OJ’s Discount Convenience Store.  Nothing brought more joy to his life than his family, they were his #1!

Survivors include his wife, Stacie of Borger; sons, Christian Luis Fernandez, Steven Don Fernandez, Braxton Jose Fernandez all of Borger; a grandson, Christian Jose Fernandez; parents, Jose and Maria Fernandez of Borger; brothers, Marcos Fernandez and wife Debbie of Oklahoma, Freddy Fernandez and wife Kandi of Borger, Arron Fernandez and wife Liz of Amarillo, Frank Fernandez and wife Amy of Borger; sisters, Hope Renteria and husband Rudy of Amarillo, Laura Hernandez and husband Oscar of Borger, Maria Fernandez of Borger; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
