Karen Ann Cannefax

Karen Ann Cannefax, 71, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, June 29, 2024, in the Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bruce Ridling officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. 

Karen was born December 20, 1952, in El Paso, Texas to Robert C. Cannefax and Rose Ellen Bailey Cannefax. She enjoyed playing bingo, working puzzles, singing, and coloring. Karen loved music, in fact she started Karen’s Koir at her church, where she was the choir director. It was no surprise to anyone to find her dancing to Johnny Cash’s “Don’t Take My Sunshine Away” it could always bring a smile to her face. She would want the world to know that she loved JESUS more than anything!! Karen was a member of Unity Baptist Church. 

 She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Rose Cannefax; and sister, Sandy Stone and husband Verlon.

 Survivors include her sister, Jill Griswold and husband Jim of Borger; brother, Craig Cannefax of Borger; seven nieces and nephews, Kelbi Kerby and husband John, Ryan Stone and wife Sondra, Karrah Iglehart and husband Todd, Garret Griswold, Jeremy Cannefax and wife Ambra, Tristin Cannefax and husband Demond Daniels, Britni Brown and husband Bradley; numerous great nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.
