Karen Loyce Hodges, 78, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016.

Funeral service will be held 10 am Monday, November 21, 2016 at First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to the Alzheimer's Association 5410 South Bell Ste. 411, Amarillo, TX 79109.

Karen was born June 11, 1938 in Pampa to Loyce and Keith Lane. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch. Karen loved to sing and often sang in a quartet at church. She also enjoyed dancing with her husband Buster and playing with her dogs Daisy and Dot. Karen was a school secretary for SFISD for many years. Nothing brought more joy to her life than her two granddaughters who she enjoyed watching play volleyball.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Keith.

Survivors include her husband J.H. "Buster"; daughters, Kiili Goodwin and husband David of Amarillo, Kyrrha Wacker and husband Steve of Austin; and two granddaughters, Jaryn and Jaslyn.
