Karen Nicoson

Karen V. Nicoson, 57, died Wednesday, March 24, 2010 in Borger.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Word of Life Church with Pastor Norman Shuman officiating. Cremation is under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Nicoson was born on May 12, 1952 in Dayton, Ohio and she had been a Borger resident since 1982, moving here from San Diego, CA. She married Doug Nicoson on April 24, 1982 in Borger. She was former office manager for Quinns Care Center. She was a former exalted ruler of Borger BPOE, being the first woman elected to that position. She was a Red Hatter and member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her father Edward Monroe.

She is survived by her husband Doug Nicoson of the home, two sons Kenneth Aaron Wysong and wife Sharlee Myers of Stinnett, Paul D. Wysong and wife Destiny of Borger, daughter Heather Hickman and husband Billy of Borger, mother Phyllis Monroe of Eaton, Ohio, three brothers Terry Butch Monroe and wife Carol of Richmond, IN, Mike Monroe and wife Kathy of Hamilton, OH, Steve Monroe of West Virginia, fourteen grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.
