Katha Howard

Katha Jo Howard, 79, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2021.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Thursday, August 12, 2021 in the Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Willie Adams officiating.  Burial will follow in Stinnett Cemetery.  Mrs. Howard will lie in state beginning at 8 am on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.

Katha was born April 5, 1942 in Jacksboro, Texas to James Richard Thompson and Winnie Mae Smith Thompson.  She married Daniel Howard on March 10, 2000 in Carlsbad, New Mexico.  Katha was a loving and caring Mother and devoted Wife.  She enjoyed watching her birds and squirrels, and tending to her flowers and plants.   Nothing brought more joy to her life than her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Thompson and Winnie Clark; and husband, Larry Rannals.

Survivors include her husband, Daniel of Stinnett; daughters, Debbie Dixon of Amarillo, Denise Gyllenband of Stinnett; step-son, Michael Howard and wife Jessica of New Hampshire; step-daughter, Ashley Howard of Morrisville, North Carolina; ten grandchildren; eight, great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren with one due to arrive in October; brother, Richard “Butch” Thompson and wife Glenda of Pensacola, Florida; and sister, Edna “Tootie” Carter of North Tazewell, Virginia.
