Kennen Lee Mackey, 30, passed away Friday, September 9, 2022, in Bogue, Kansas.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 am on Monday, September 19, 2022, at First Southern Baptist Church with Pastor James Piazza officiating.  In lieu of flowers please honor his memory with a gift to his family at Pantex Federal Credit Union, account name Taylor Mackey.

Kennen was born January 23, 1992, in Amarillo to David Mackey and Starla Mackey.  He graduated from Sanford Fritch High School in 2010. Kennen was a member of First Southern Baptist Church.   He married Taylor Hardy on September 13, 2013, in Borger.  Kennen fulfilled a dream on January 1st this year when he became the owner of Legacy Wild Outfitting and Guide Service.  He enjoyed hunting, really anything outdoors.  He even spent some time horseback, being what every little boy dreams of a cowboy.  He worked cattle, did some brandin’ and cuttin’.  With all this excitement in his life, nothing brought him more joy or pride than spending time with his boys, Kalon and Kase.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie Mackey and wife Nonette, Jean Mackey; and grandparents-in-law, Bill and Barbara Hardy.

Surviving him is his wife, Taylor Mackey; sons, Kalon and Kase; mother, Starla Lusk and husband Shannon of Amarillo; father, David Mackey and wife Gina of Fritch; grandparents, Melvin Stovall and Gayle Stovall; brothers, Luke Mackey and Megan Johnson of Colorado, Joshua Mackey of Fritch, Chance Lusk and wife Lauren of Amarillo; mother and father-in-law, Heath and Kelly Hardy of Fritch; grandparents-in-law, Rick and Glenda Chester of Amarillo; brother-in-law, Ty Hardy of Fritch; sister-in-law, Bailey Cathey and husband Jordan of Fritch; nieces, Adeline, MaeLee, Jailey, Brooklyn, Hallie; nephews, Breckyn, Carter, Baker; and a host of extended family and friends.
