Kenneth Ray McCown Sr., 61, of Borger, died Sunday January 13, 2013 in Amarillo.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Danny Courtney of the First Baptist Church of Fritch officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Kenneth was born January 23, 1951 in Borger to Stanley and Ida Davis McCown. He was a unit operator for Chevron Phillips where he was employed for 35 years. Kenneth also served our country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a member of the Lake Meredith Gun Club, and loved his family, granddaughters sporting events, and archery. He had a lifelong love of motorcycles, riding since the age of 14 up until his recent illness.

Survivors include his wife Deborah two sons Kenny McCown Jr. of Tulsa, Scott McCown of Amarillo his daughter, Melissa Burrows and husband Warren of Borger his brother Sidney McCown and wife Lesa of Wichita Falls five granddaughters Allyson and Paige Burrows, Megan Malinowski, Jennifer Moose, Alexis White, and a greatgranddaughter, Morgan Malinowski.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents.
