Kenneth Phillip Winters, 79, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Fairlanes Baptist Church with Pastor Reece Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family kindly asks that funeral attendees wear a mask. In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to Canadian River Cowboy Church Bible Camp, Po Box 142 Borger, TX 79008.
Kenneth was born April 14, 1941 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Claude Winters and Muriel Preslar Winters. He married Betty Jo Shields on July 4, 1959 in Hobart, Oklahoma. Kenneth enjoyed his job as a cowboy on the Hayhook Ranch. He was a wonderful woodworker and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Kenneth had a true love for his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Winters of Fritch; sons, Ricky Dean Winters and wife Kay of Wilson, North Carolina, Mickey Lynn Winters and wife Gaby of Leander, Texas; daughter, Debbie Prock and husband Walter of Borger; seven grandchildren, Jessica Martin and husband Taj, Chris Prock, Ashley Taylor, Brittany Winters, Josh Winters, Kenneth Winters, Simon Winters; six great grandchildren, Alexis, Jordan, Dominic, Jeremiah, Dalton, Cameron; brother, Bill Winters and wife Marla of Battleground, Washington; sisters, Joyce Ann Pruitt of Hobart, Oklahoma, Virginia Savage and husband Larry of Edmond, Oklahoma, Dana Ervin and husband Jack of Yukon, Oklahoma; and a host of extended family.
