Lanell Smith

Lanell Roween Smith, 90, died on September 4, 2017. She entered this world on March 23, 1927 in Kiowa, CO, born to Homer and Frieda Hartfield. Lanell has been a resident of Borger for 58 years and was a faithful member of 1st United Methodist Church where she was in the Choir. She was also a member of the Ceramic Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill and her son Brett.

She is survived by her daughter Lynne Wyatt and her husband Joe of Borger; her son Mark Smith of Denver, CO; her five grandchildren Derek, Caleb, Anna, Rebecca and Luke Wyatt and her two great grandchildren Juliette and Aria Wyatt. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017, 3:00 pm. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Pam Lehman, Pastor officiating. Arrangements are by Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

The family will receive guests at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
