Laparis Mckinney

LaParis McKinney, 81, went into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, in Amarillo, TX. La Paris was born on July 13, 1937 in Borger, TX to Thurman Williams and Ruth Griffin Williams. She married the love her life, Max McKinney in Raton, NM, they were married for 53 years. LaParis and Max found Borger to be their home. They had three daughters, Angie Lewellyn, Joy Beth Fleming and Jennifer Kennedy. She was the owner of Salon LaParee where she was a beautician for 43 years. She was a long-time member of Faith Covenant Church, she later found Calvary Baptist Church to be their church home. After Max's death in 2013 she moved to Amarillo to The Continental Senior Living, to be closer to her daughter. She loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thurman and Ruth Williams, her youngest daughter, Jennifer Kennedy, sister Carol Huff and brother, Doy Williams.
She is survived by her brother, Travis Williams of Fruita, CO, two daughters, Angie Lewellyn & Mike of Amarillo, TX and Joy Beth Fleming & Randy of Hurst, TX, son-in-law James Kennedy of Iowa Park, TX, six grandchildren, Tia Lewellyn, Hannah Akin, Sarah McPherson, Madison Kennedy, Tyler Lewellyn , and Cutter Kennedy; three great grandchildren, Max Akin, Lily Akin, and Lola Lewellyn. She will be greatly missed by all.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home in Borger on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 5-7 pm. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 am August 31, 2018 at the Panhandle Cemetery in Panhandle, TX. Under the direction of Minton Chatwelll Funeral Directors of Borger.
