Larry Nelson

Larry Nelson, 89, of Borger, died Thursday, July 24, in Borger. Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 28, at the First Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Jerry Lane, First United Methodist Church, White Deer, officiating. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Larry was born September 5, 1924 in Copan, Ok to Martin B. and Jeanetta Nelson. He married C.J. Allred. Larry served his country in the United States Air Force in 1944. He was an Elder Trustee and a Sunday School teacher at the Presbyterian Church. Larry was involved in the Boy Scouts, United Way, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and Little League. He was a Personnel Supervisor at Phillips Petroleum.
Larry was preceded in death by his son David Nelson, brother, Harold Nelson, and grandsons, Michael and Bryan Nelson.
Survivors are his wife, C.J. Nelson sons, Michael D. Nelson of Dallas, TX, and J.K. McLain of Denton, TX.
