Larry Nivens, Sr.

Larry Joe Nivens, Sr., 72, passed away Monday, July 18, 2016.

Graveside service will be held 2 pm Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Westlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Kirk Coker officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Larry was born September 25, 1943 in Dumas, Texas to Ruby Maranda (England) and L.T. Nivens. He was a hard worker and had a strong work ethic. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing and anything outdoors, but nothing brought more joy to his life than his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carolyn; son, Larry Joe Nivens, Jr.; and grandson, Brad Nivens.

Survivors include his beloved friend, Deborah and her son, Matt Hope and wife Crystal; daughters, Selina Corbin of Amarillo, Jean Powers and husband Mark of Amarillo, Elisha Nivens; 14 grandchildren, Stacy Nivens, Sabrina Robles, Mark Nivens and wife Janice, Melissa Nivens, Colt Nivens and wife Raelee, Chance Nivens, Chase Nivens, Laramie Nivens, Tommy Corbin, Timmy Corbin and wife Candace, Darin Corbin, Josh Gipson and wife Sarah, Matthew Gipson, Shelby Watson and husband Zach; 14 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
