Laura Brown

Laura Brown , 96 went to be with her Lord on January 5, 2014 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Panhandle with Jim Howard a brother in law officiating. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. Family visitation will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday at the Funeral Home

Laura was born February 25, 1917 in Panhandle to Henry and Iva Pullen. She went to college and earned her BA in education. She taught at Bulla, TX where she met Porter Brown. They got married on March 1938 in Panhandle where they made their home. She taught in the Panhandle Schools.

Survivors are her son Billy Bob and wife Linda Brown of Panhandle. Sisters Sammie Howard of Amarillo and Juanita Albright of Amarillo. Grandchildren Kevin Brown, Robin Brown and Brandy Thurman. 12 Great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Scottish Rite Childrens Hospital or Favorite Charity.
