Lee Walton Walt Poling, 79, of Poling Ranch in Fritch, died Thursday, May 10, 2012.
Services for Mr. Poling will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 14, in the First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch with the Rev. Calvin Winters officiating. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Mr. Poling was born on June 5, 1932 in Amarillo, Texas. He is the owner of Poling Ranch, which was established in 1898. He was a former member of the Lions Club Founder of the Lake Meredith Aquatic and Wildlife Museum Former Chairman of the Board of the Fritch State Bank a member of the Texas and Southwest Association of Cattle Raisers and a Charter member of the Fritch City Council when Fritch was chartered.
Survivors include his son, Stan Poling and wife Bobbie, of Poling Ranch two daughters, Linda Rowland and husband Jeff of Benbrook, TX Wendy Anderson and husband Gary of Kerrville, TX eight Grandchildren and 7 GreatGrandchildren.
Mr. Poling was preceded in death by his wife, LaNelle in 2004 two brothers, J.M Poling, Jr., and Allen Poling one sister Mary Grace Longanecker.
The family requests memorials be made to the Fritch Aquatic and Wildlife Museum.
