Lena Moore

Lena Elizabeth Moore, 98, died Sunday, September 12, 2010 in Amarillo.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Panhandle
with Rev. Roger Smith, Pastor of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church of Amarillo
officiating. Interment will be in Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of
MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.

Mrs. Moore was born on October 12, 1911 in Sugden, OK and had been a Panhandle
resident since 1935. She was a homemaker, member of the First Baptist Church
and loved crocheting, quilting and playing games. Most of all she loved the
Lord and her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph in 1984, grandson Wade Moore in 1987, two soninlaws George Franklin in 1986 and W. A. Mitchell in 2010, her parents Charles Leora Griffen, five brothers and five sisters.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her son David Moore and wife Lorraine of Amarillo,
daughter Peggy Mitchell of Amarillo, four grandchildren, nine
greatgrandchildren and two greatgreat grandsons.
