Lenora Stanford

Lenora Iliene Stanford, 74, died August 23 in Amarillo. Services will be 3:00 p.m. Monday at the Celebration Family Church in Fritch with Pastor Dwight Kirksey officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Lenora Wright moved to Borger in 1943 and married Jerry Stanford November 23, 1957 in Borger. She grew up in the Pentecostal Church and was a member of the Panhandle Bluegrass and Old Time Music Association. Lenora loved camping with Jerry at Bluegrass Festivals.

She was preceded in death by her son Perry in 2005.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years Jerry, her son Steve Stanford and his wife Ann of Panhandle, 2 Brothers Leonard Wright of Langley, OK and Terry Wright of Preston, OK, 4 Grandchildren Nikki Stanford, Ashly Skelton, Lindsey Stanford and Lane Stanford, 2 GreatGrandchildren Taylor and Brynn Skelton.
