Lessie Sauls

Lessie Powell Sauls, 77, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015.

Funeral service will be held 2 pm Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Grace Church with Pastor Rodger Hughes, Pastor Ed Skiles, Pastor Harry Williams, Pastor Marshall Ford, officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Lessie was born October 27, 1937 in Orange, Texas to George and Irene (Jones) Powell. She was member of Liberty Worship Church. Lessie enjoyed watching the Lakers, watching the Cowboys and the OU Sooners. She loved gardening, cooking and being with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George and her parents.

Survivors include sons, Robert and Shelia Powell of Seattle, Washington, Winston Sauls and wife Stella of Borger; daughters, Georgia Sauls Hughes of Borger, Edith Hughes and husband Rodger of Borger; eleven grandchildren Kim Powell, Robin Powell of Kent Washington, Dustin and Shelby Helle of Kent Washington, Stephanie Hughes of Borger, Shayna Hughes of Lubbock, Margaret Sauls of Dallas, Marilyn Sauls of New Orleans, LA, Mark and Melanie Johnson of Dallas, Tenorra Hughes of Houston, Steven and Shanesa Hughes of Amarillo, Jan(yawn) and Leslie Werner of Houston ; five great grandchildren and one on the way; and sisters, Irene Baker of Santa Ana, California, and Willie May Perkins of Palmdale, California.
