Lestle Shockley

Lestle Roscoe Shockley, 90, died Friday, June 30th, 2006 in Amarillo, Texas. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Fritch Church of Christ with Richard Kasco, Minister officiating. Interment will be in The Garden of Serenity at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger, Texas. Mr. Shockley was born on April 26, 1916 in Darnell, Arkansas, and had been an area resident for 55 years. He played softball, was a hunter, an avid fisherman and loved to watch basketball and bullriding. He married Jennetta Corine April 9, 1939 on the farm in Washita County, Ok and she preceeded him in death on December 6, 2003. He is survived by a son - Ron Shockley of San Ramon, CA, two daughters - Lona Line of Dumas, TX. and Linda Wilson of Borger, two brothers - Denton Shockley of Norman, Ok and Tom Shockley of Quinton, OK, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.BRBRCasket bearers will be Ron Shockley, David Line, Alden Wilson, Gab Parvin.
