Lewis Junior Blankenship, 83, died Monday, October 1st, 2007 in Amarillo, Texas.BRBRServices will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Stinnett with Rev. Johnny Bernstein, Pastor and Pastor Ricky Griffin of Grace Fellowhsip Church in Borger officiating. Graveside services will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera, Ok at 10:00 a.m. Saturday under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Blankenship was born on June 21, 1924 in Bokchito, OK and had been a Hutchinson County resident since 1959. He was a bus driver for PSP School District and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stinnett and the Texas Steel Guitar Association. He married Beatrice McWilliams on August 21, 1944 in Borger. She preceded him in death in 1997.BRBRHe is survived by his son - Johnny Blankenship and wife Deborah of Katy, Tx., Sherry Riemer and husband, Kenneth of Stinnett, TX, three brothers - Bobby Blankenship and Jimmy Blankenship both of Stinnett, Mark Blankenship of Calera, OK., two sisters - Coryne Leewright of Stinnett, Elaine Mullins of Calera, Ok., five grandchildren - Shannon Lane, Shane Riemer, Beau Blankenship, Heather Blankenship and Heath Blankenship and five great-grandchildren.BRBRThe family will be staying at 11545 FM 687 at Stinnett.
