Lewis Ray “Cowboy” “Ray Ray” Dickson, 64, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 am Saturday, March 22, 2025, at New Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Warren Coble officiating. Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Cowboy was born August 30, 1960, in Borger to Russell Dickson, Sr. and Lillie Moore Dickson. He married Deloris Monroe on May 3, 1991, in Borger. Cowboy was a barbeque master and enjoyed fellowship with his family and friends. He liked to go riding around on his scooter. Cowboy lived big and loved even bigger.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Lillie Dickson; brothers, Ricky Dickson, Russell Dickson, Jr.; and sisters, Glenda Rhodes and Margaret Dickson.

Survivors include his wife, Deloris Dickson of Borger; sons, Lewis Ray Monroe, Jr. of Borger, Demedrick Monroe of Wichita Falls, Corrie Monroe of Wichita Falls; daughter, Novelia Monroe of Wichita Falls; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother, Charles Dickson and wife Ollie of Paris, Texas; beloved sister, Wanda King of Borger; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
