Lillian Catherine Meier, 100, went to be with the Lord on October 26, 2014. Graveside services will be at Westlawn Memorial Park in Borger at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 31 with Father Richard Zanetti officiating. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Trinity Fellowship Church in Amarillo with Gil Hiltbrunner and Marcus Meier officiating.
Lillian was born November 18, 1913 to Anton and Josephine Pastusek in Prague, OK. She was married to Franklin Meier on March 16, 1941. She was a resident of Borger for 68 years. Lillian was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church where she served on the Altar Society. Lillian was a seamstress who did alterations in her home until the age of 90. As she welcomed her clients into her home, many of them adopted this sweet lady as part of their family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 13 siblings, husband Franklin in 1978, and daughter Charlotte in 1988.
Survivors include her son Glen Meier and wife Julia of Amarillo five grandchildren: Kim Kiser and husband Craig of McKinney, TX Shelley Caldwell and husband Chad of Arlington, TX Laura Meek and husband Laine of Granbury, TX Melissa Shafer and husband Pecos of Amarillo, TX Marcus Meier and wife Rachel of Colorado Springs, CO and 13 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Bivins Memorial Nursing Home and Hospice Care of the Southwest for taking such loving care of our loved one.
