Linda Carter

Linda Jean Carter, 75, passed away Monday, December 12, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, December 17, 2022, in the Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Victor Rodriguez officiating.  Burial will be at 3 pm in Cheyenne Cemetery in Cheyenne, Oklahoma.  Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Friday, December 16, 2022, at the funeral home.

Linda was born February 3, 1947, in Sayre, Oklahoma to Jess Rackley and Edith Mae Pittaway Rackley.  She was a talented cake decorator at United Super Market.  Linda enjoyed fishing, sewing, and making quilts.  Nothing brought more joy to her life than spending time with her grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Edith Mae Rackley; and daughter, Terri Lucero.

Survivors include her sons, Greg Smith and Jim Anderson of Borger, Mike Smith and Teresa of White Deer; four grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; brother, David Rackley of Tuttle, Oklahoma; sister, Brenda Craig of Hamond, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
