The family will be holding a private celebration of life service in June.  Cremation was under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  In lieu of flowers please make a donation to High Plains Animal Hospital in Borger, Texas, under the account name Ellen Sunderland to assist with the continuance of care to Linda's dogs, Lily and Bella.

Linda was born February 22, 1958, in Houston, Texas. She married Delbert Wayne Sunderland on June 13, 1979. Linda was a member of Cherry Street Church of Christ in Panama City, Florida.

Linda was adored by all those who called her Nana, Mom and Sister. She loved her family fiercely. She was a God-fearing selfless woman with the kindest, sweetest soul. She gave of herself, was unattached to worldly treasures, and a creative inspiration to many.

She often got attached to her residents and hospice patients whom she cared for deeply throughout her lifelong career.

Her grandchildren were the light of her life. In between visits with family, to occupy her time, she enjoyed doing various arts and crafts, crocheting, sewing, painting and most impressively, quilting.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Edwina Whaley; and husband, Delbert Sunderland.

Survivors include her daughters, Shannon Young and husband Gregory of Panama City, Florida, Shawn Nicholes and husband Joe of Fritch; son, Joshua Allen Sunderland and Hollie Lynn Tully of Shawnee, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Kennedy Holmes and husband Alex, Amber Hunt and husband Tyler, Joe Nicholes and wife Kelsey, Gracie Mihm and husband Tyler, Katelynn Nicholes, Jenna Grant and husband Chase, Greg Hoppers, Kayleb Sunderland, Greenlee Sunderland; seven great grandchildren; siblings, Peggy Lundeen and husband Curtis of Mayer, Minnesota, Edmund Dudek of Austin, Shirley Alsobrook and husband Mark of Cedar Park, Texas; special friend, Myron Peterson of Fritch; and a host of extended family.
