L.J. Sells, 91, of Borger, passed away Sunday March 27, 2016 in Borger.

Services will be 10:00 am. Friday at the Church of Christ at Borger with Mark DeRouen of Borger officiating. Burial will follow in the "Garden of Hope" at Westlawn Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

L.J. Sells was born July 23, 1924 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Gade J. and Maggie May (Strange) Sells. He married Lola Maxine Sands on Easter, March 28, 1948 in Plainview. They moved to Borger from Pampa in 1969, and were members of the Church of Christ at Borger. L.J. was owner and proprietor of Sells Trucking Company, retiring in 2001. He loved to golf, fishing, camping, and making homemade ice cream.

Survivors include his two sons, Kent Sells of Canyon, Mark Sells and wife Leigh of Amarillo; his daughter, Renea Ugarte and husband Marc of Glendora, California; his sister, Mozelle Durke of Dallas; 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren with one on the way.

L.J. is preceded in death by his wife, Maxine, March 18, 2011, a daughter in law Janet Sells, three brothers, and two sisters.
