Lois Wilson

April 6, 1925 — October 23, 2016

Lois Allen Wilson, 91, a wonderful and amazing lady went to be with the Lord, Sunday, October 23, 2016.

Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October, 27, 2016 in the Garden of "Hope" at Westlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Danny Courtney of the First Baptist Church of Fritch officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Lois was born April 6, 1925 in Quanah to Alvie and Mildred (Urquhart) Allen. She lived most of her life in the Borger area and resided in Fritch for 53 years. During WW II while living in California she supported our country's war efforts by working at Douglas Aircraft as a Rosie The Riveter. After the war Lois married E.W. Wilson and moved back to the Borger area where E.W. was employed by Phillips Petroleum. After E.W.'s death Lois worked as a nurses aid at several area hospitals, and as a lab tech for Phillips Petroleum. She retired and lived alone in her Fritch home that she dearly loved for 48 years. Lois also loved being a "Red Hatter".

Lois is survived by a son Gary Wilson and wife Carol, daughter Elizabeth England and husband Hardy, sister Doris Baldwin, daughter-in-law Annette Wilson, son-in-law Doug Groover, four grandchildren, Shelly Harrison, Amie Brown, Don Wilson, Brian Ross, and eight great-grandchildren.

During her 91 years of life she lost her husband, two sons, a daughter, and a grandson.
