Lola Sells

Maxine Sells, 87, died Friday, March 18, 2011 in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of Christ at Borger with Mr. Richard Kasko, minister of the Fritch Church of Christ officiating and Mr. Wes Balentine, eulogist. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Sells was born on October 9, 1923 in Ralls, Texas and had been a Borger resident since 1969. She graduated from Petersburg High School and married L. J. Sells on March 28, 1948 in Plainview, TX. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ at Borger. She loved the Texas Rangers Baseball, traveling, camping and craft work. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Mamie Sands, brother John Sands and sister Murle.

Maxine is survived by her husband L. J. Sells of the Home, two sons Kent Randall Sells and wife Janet of Canyon, Mark Gayland Sells and wife Leigh of Amarillo, daughter Renea Lynn Ugarte and husband Marc of Glendora, CA, three sisters Allene Short of Tyler, TX, Marie James of Albuquerque, NM, Cleo Howerton of Midland, TX, nine grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.
