Lorene Judy

Lorene Judy, 91, died Saturday, February 24th in Canyon. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church in Panhandle with Pastor Shane Raulston officiating. Interment will follow at Panhandle Cemetery. Lorene Judy was born on August 12, 1915 in Cooke County, Texas. She married Nolan Judy, June 30, 1936 in Gainesville, Texas. They moved to Panhandle from Cook County in July of 1936. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Panhandle and loved to paint, quilt, and crochet. She also loved her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Nolan November 12, 1996, 1 Sister and 4 Brothers. Survivors include 2 daughters - Bobbie J. Wilhite of Amarillo, Ava J. Book of Canyon, 2 sisters - Dorothy Fife of Pampa and Estelle Sutphen of Longview, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and numerous great great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Faith City Mission 401 E. 2nd Ave. Amarillo 79101 or the First Christian Church P.O. Box 325 Panhandle, Texas 79068. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
