Lorna Tate

Lorna Mae Tate, 76, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015.

Graveside service will be held 2 pm Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Lorna was born June 27, 1938 in Ada, Oklahoma to Bertha Merinda Henderson and Authy Elliot McGowan. She married Franklin D. Tate March 21, 1966 in Pampa, Texas. Lorna loved cooking for her family especially on the holidays. She also enjoyed doing yard work and buying special things for the grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Vivian Nickerson and Ina McGowan.

Survivors include sons, Jack Youngblood of Elk City, Oklahoma, John Russell of Borger, Texas; daughters, Paula Shook, Ramona Carrell, Merinda Burkhalter all of Borger; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Lyle McGowan of Oklahoma City; sisters, Bernice Bullard of Mission, Texas, and Virginia Nickerson of Ada, Oklahoma.
