Louie Collins

Louie E. Collins, 79, died Thursday, June 4, 2009 in Amarillo. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Jake Minton officiating. Interment will be in The Garden of Hope at Westlawn Memorial park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mr. Collins was born on December 1, 1929 in Borger and had been an area resident for 62 years. He was a terminal manager for Merchants Motor Freight Co. and was a member of the Church of Christ. He did roofing as Collins Roofing. Louie enjoyed deep sea fishing, boating, waterskiing, camping, restoring Mustangs and yardwork. He was preceded in death by his brother David Collins and sister Ann Jackson.

Survivors include his wife - Wanda Collins of the home, son - Dana Collins of Ranger, daughter - Cindy Randall and husband Chesty of Fritch, sister -Mae Turley of Belen, NM, four grandchildren - D.J. Collins, Levi Randall and wife Nicole, Brittany Haney and husband Sam, Robyn Rohan and husband Chad, and three great-grandchildren - Gavin Randall, Emmalie Haney and Roland Mills.
