Louise Sly Green
Born Louise Aileen Hoppe in Dewey, Oklahoma November 6, 1922 to Herman Hoppe and Mary Rose Greenwood Hoppe.
She arrived in Isom, Texas by train in 1926 and spent most of her life in Hutchinson County. She went to school in Spring Creek and Borger surviving the "Boomtown", the Dust Bowl and the Great Depression.
She had a great love for her family, her Cherokee heritage and her constant canine companion, Sam.
Louise was a member of Faith Baptist Church. On June 10, 2017, at the age of 94 years 7 months and 4 days God took her hand and lifted her into heaven where today she stands upright with a smile.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clinton Sly in 1967; husband, Carl Green in 1988; brother, Herman (Sonny) Hoppe; sisters, Helen Hoppe, Josephine Nail, Ethyl McMillan and grandson, Dusty Smith.
Survivors include her son, David Sly and wife Mary of Fritch; daughters, Sharron Hooper of Yantis, Texas, Judy Smith and husband Mike of Green Valley, Arizona; one sister, Jackie Archer and husband James of Stinnett; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Hoppe; four grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 in Stinnett Cemetery with Pastor Dwight Kirksey officiating. In lieu of flowers her family requests that her memory be honored with a gift to Fritch Meals on Wheels, P. O. Box 366, Fritch, Texas 79036.
