Loyd Davis

Loyd Ray Davis, 68, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Loyd was born June 1, 1947 in Pittsburg, Kansas to Dorothy (Penick) and Henry Davis. He proudly served in the United States Navy. Loyd married Valda Jones on November 23, 1970 in Borger. He loved working in his garage, listening to 60's rock-n-roll, watching classic television and riding around Lake Meredith.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bobby, Tommy, David and Jerry Davis; and sister, Barbara Horne.

Survivors include his wife, Valda of the home; son, Craig Davis and wife Tammy of Rockwall; daughters, Michelle Bowers and husband Jim of Clyde, Angela Johnson and husband Jeff of Fritch; nine grandchildren; brothers, Danny Davis of Borger, Jimmy Davis and wife Brenda of Amarillo; sister, Joyce Davis of Houston; and his beloved dogs, Sweetie and Sassy.
