Loyd Edgar Robertson

Loyd Edgar “Jerry” Robertson, 90, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 24, 2023, in the Minton Memorial Chapel with Mr. Jake Minton officiating.   Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at the funeral home.

Jerry was born December 28, 1932, in Iowa Park, Texas.  He married Mary Joye Partney on September 23, 1950, in Iowa Park.  He enjoyed trapshooting, fishing, and bird hunting.  Jerry loved his animals, especially his horse, Blue.  He loved life and lived it to the fullest, he was very tenderhearted.  His favorite vacation spot was the mountains in his RV.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ruth Wigley Robertson; sister, Joyce Spruiell; and brother-in-law, Glen Spruiell.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Joye of Iowa Park; son, Mickey Loyd Robertson of Wichita Falls; daughters, Jerri Lynn Johnson of Amarillo, Mary Kathryn Eaton of Borger, Sara Elizabeth Ramby of Borger, Lauri LeAnn McWilliams of Stinnett; eight grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.
