Lucille B. Morrow, 87, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014.
Funeral service will be 10:30 am Saturday, April 26, 2014 at First Southern Baptist Church of Fritch. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. The family will receive friends on Friday from 57 pm at the funeral home in Fritch. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to First Southern Baptist Church of Fritch.
Lucille was born January 1, 1927 in Borger, Texas to Ella and Ernest Lester Burton. She is believed to be the first New Years baby born in Borger. Lucille lived in Hutchinson County all of her life with the exception of six years when her husband was transferred to Oklahoma. She loved to quilt and compete in quilt shows. A resourceful woman and excellent cook, she used those skills to successfully run a caf in Oklahoma. Lucille was also a bookkeeper and income tax professional. She enjoyed scrapbooking and was very organized in all her endeavors.
She is preceded in death by her parents husband, L.B. Morrow stepdaughter, Carolyn Suggs brothers, Ralph and Ray Burton and sister, Ruthie Burton.
Survivors include sons, Truitt L. Gipson and his wife, Sharon of Kennesaw, Georgia Kenneth E. Gipson and his wife, Bernice of Fritch, James E. Gipson and his wife, Julie of Borger stepson, David Arnold and his wife, Mary of Sevierville, Tennessee nine grandchildren, Kristi Poling and her husband, Darren, Kari Garner and her husband, Greg, Amy Gallagher and her husband, Rory, Shelly Geist, April Davis and her husband, Brad, Jason Gipson and his wife, Tifannie, Jaryn Gipson, Micah Cobb and his wife, Gina, Cody Allen and his wife, Erin and sixteen great grandchildren.
