Lynzy Terryn Felder

Lynzy Terryn Felder, 37, of Borger, Texas passed away on February 13, 2024.  A memorial service has been scheduled for 2 pm Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Minton Memorial Chapel. 

Lynzy was born on February 4, 1987 to Sonya Gariepy-Powell in Borger, Texas.  Lynzy was a ball of energy.  She was fun loving and preferred being outdoors.  As a young child, Lynzy and her older brother Tanner were a package deal, inseparable at best.  Lynzy loved basketball and attending church with her mom, sister, and brother.  Her sister Jamie describes her as “the smartest one in the family”.  Lynzy graduated from Tascosa High School in Amarillo, Texas.  After graduating she continued living her best life.  

Lynzy found her dream when she met the love of her life, Tony Gates.  She was Tony’s dream too and she spent a life with him being a perfect homemaker.  She loved to read and spend time at the lake with friends and family. Lynzy had a brazen heart full of life. 

Lynzy is preceded in death by her mother, Sonya Gariepy-Powell and an uncle, Ronnie Gariepy. 

Survivors include Tony Gates of the home; grandmother, Shirley Tubbs of Borger; a sister, Jamie Reed and husband Jason of Bushland; a brother, Tanner Leach and wife Brandi Leach of Bushland; an aunt, RaVonda Crizer of Borger; an uncle, Tim Reber of Borger; nephews, Brayden Reed and Tracer Leach; and a niece, Addilyn Reed.
