Manuel Ortiz Jr, 43 of Borger passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm, Monday, November 21, 2022, at Minton Memorial Chapel. The burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. There will be a visitation of family and friends on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at the funeral home.

Manuel was born March 17, 1979, in Houston, Texas to Manuel and Maria (Gayton) Ortiz. He loved baseball and playing games with his nieces and nephews. He was a lifetime resident of Borger.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Surviving is his mother, Maria of Borger; son, Marcus Ortiz of Borger; brothers, Francisco Ortiz and wife Audrey of Borger, Jose Ortiz of Borger; sister, Birdie Loera of Kingsville, Texas; nieces and nephews, Jose Ortiz Jr., Damian Ortiz, Alyis Ortiz, Zylah Ortiz, Francisco Ortiz Jr, Briana Ortiz, Sophia Ortiz, Jasper Ortiz, Jesse Ortiz and A. J. Loera.
