Margaret Ann Jefferson Canter, 73, of Borger, died February 12, 2012 at Borger Healthcare Center.

Family will be conducting a memorial service 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Kindom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Margaret Ann Jefferson Canter was born November 19, 1938 in Lincoln County Missouri to Melvin Leroy and Lela Mae Baker Jefferson. She worked at the recycling center for several years, and planning and zoning for the city of Borger. Margaret is a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witness in Borger.

Margaret is survived by a daughter Arona Knight of Borger two sons Shane L. Canter and wife Charlotte of Dayton, Keson Canter and wife Ottum of Borger her mother Lela M. Jefferson of Troy, Missouri four brothers Don Jefferson and wife Mehri of California, Roger Jefferson and wife Gail of Winnfield, Missouri, Steven Jefferson and wife Joann of Troy, Missouri, Ronald Jefferson and wife Sheri of Independance, Kansas a sister Mary Sue Haffner and husband Bill of Hannibal, Missouri grandchildren Jarea Keiser and husband Matthew, Adrian I Knight, Samantha R. Canter, and a greatgranddaughter Cara Beth Keiser.

Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Edward of 47 years, father , and a brother Edgar Leroy Jefferson.
