Margarita Alvarez

Margarita Alvarez, 50, gained her wings Sunday, August 13, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Friday, August 18, 2023, in Minton Memorial Chapel.  Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Margarita was born January 10, 1973, in Juarez, Mexico to Isidoro DeLeon and Hermelinda Moreno DeLeon.  She loved being around kids and was always looking forward to babysitting.  Margarita enjoyed cooking, dancing, and gardening both flowers and vegetables. She was a caring and loving person that never knew a stranger.  Her laugh was infectious.

Waiting for her in Heaven are her grandparents, Thomas and Clara Moreno, Guadalupe and Matilde DeLeon; and her little brother, Avundio DeLeon.  

Survivors include her parents, Linda and Isidoro DeLeon of Borger; brothers, Steve DeLeon and wife Tonya of Borger, Jay DeLeon of Borger; sister, Cruz Winters of Amarillo; nieces, Makali DeLeon, Antonia DeLeon and Edgar; and nephews, Josh DeLeon, Steve DeLeon, and Jacob DeLeon and wife Cecilia.
